Do you love the Library? Do you want to ensure that children and lifelong learners have the programs and services they need to support reading and exploration?

The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation (the not-for-profit fundraising arm of The Indianapolis Public Library) seeks a Development Coordinator to join our fundraising team. The Development Coordinator will manage a portfolio of individual, corporate and foundation donors, including their cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. An ideal candidate will be able to manage complicated grants for special projects of the Library and to work with Library administration to see their successful completion. The Development Coordinator will also help the Foundation launch an engagement program for volunteers, by creating and managing this group; whether it’s an event committee or young professionals group – your creativity and leadership will shape this group.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of fundraising experience preferred. We seek a highly motivated, organized individual with excellent written/oral communication capabilities, project management and experience with databases, especially queries and mailing lists. Enthusiasm for the Library and a sense of humor are also desired. We offer a competitive salary and exceptional benefits. The Development Coordinator reports to the Vice President. Work hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends.
