Indiana Authors Award Nominations Open

Posted on February 11, 2016

The 2016 Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award is now accepting nominations for the eighth annual award, which celebrates Hoosier authors who have made a mark on the literary landscape, both in Indiana and across the nation. New this year is the addition of a rotating fourth category, “Genre Excellence,” to highlight talented authors in different genres. In 2016, the award will honor a children’s picture book author and/or illustrator. Nominations are open through March 18, 2016. All nominations remain valid for five years. Nine members of the statewide Award Panel will select National, Regional and Emerging Author winners and finalists. Winning authors receive cash prizes and may also designate an Indiana public library as the recipient of a $2,500 grant. The National Author, Regional Author and Genre Excellence Author winners and three Emerging Author finalists will be announced in mid-July. The Emerging Author winner will be named at the Award Dinner on October 29, 2016.

The Indiana Authors Award is made possible through the generosity of The Glick Fund, a fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation. For more information or to become a sponsor, contact us.
